Virtual Production
Many view Virtual Production as the future of filmmaking and content generation and as the natural successor to green screen chroma keying.
Virtual Production seamlessly combines physical and virtual worlds through use of LED volumes powered by media servers running 3D environments in realtime.
At Preevue, we specialise in producing Virtual Production assets of existing locations and spaces, with data gathered from LiDAR laser scan surveys.
With the high level of detail that comes through from the LiDAR laser scan survey, the resulting asset is a photoreal and architecturally accurate VP-ready Digital Twin.

UK House, SXSW 2024
Preevue were proud to have delivered content for the UK House virtual production activation at SXSW 2024. These scenes included combination of laser scanned digital twins and Preevue digital backlot assets.
The activation featured a virtual motorbike ride from the UK to the US, experienced by over 200 visitors on a full-scale VP stage, showcasing the potential of VP technology in advertising.
This activation was runner up at the Advertising Producers Association (APA) IDEAS Awards in virtual production.

Behind The Scenes
Chichester Festival Theatre
Visionary Stages
In 2022, Preevue worked with Chichester Festival Theatre and collaborative partners White Light to produce Visionary Stages a presentation hosted on a Digital Twin of the original 1962 Chichester Festival Theatre stage realised through Virtual Production technology.
To produce the Digital Twin, artists at Preevue adapted our LiDAR laser scan survey of the current venue through using original architectural plans of the 1962 venue to virtually rebuild the venue in its original form.
This virtual recreation enabled Chichester Festival Theatre's Artistic Director Daniel Evans to stand onstage in the original venue and host special guests, including Sir Derek Jacobi who reminisced treading the now digital boards beneath his feet in the real venue.
